Product Overview
The GEOSATpro DSR180HLS MEDIA PLATFORM and IRD integrated receiver decodes high definition and standard definition video. The DSR180HLS is capable of receiving signals from variable program sources including HLS Streams, RTP, UDP, RTSP and ASI. The unit allows demuxing from ASI or UDP streams, cherry picking channels and building custom mux for ASI or TSIP output to the Transmitter or IPTV Headend.
Output interfaces include CVBS, HDMI, HD/SDI, ASI and TSIP. Variety of Encoders and transcoders are available as optional.
The DSR180HLS is a professional media platform that incorporates dual-channel IRD which receives live OTT streams from the internet, descrambles and decodes them to SDI and HDMI. It is able to integrate other sources and send ASI signal directly to station exciter or transmitter.

FAQ’s:
• Does the DVB-S2 input module support receiving scrambled Digicypher and PowerVu signals?
• No, Digicypher and PowerVu are proprietary encryption standards that are only supported by Arris (Motorola) and Cisco receivers.
The DVB-S2 input module supports unencrypted satellite signals. If the CI/BISS module is included in the chassis it can receive and descramble BISS or DVB-CI scrambled signals (with the appropriate CI CAM inserted).
• Does the EN2SDI-2HD support encoding to MPEG-2 HD, closed captions and AC3?
• Yes, the EN2SDI-2HD module is perfectly suited for the North American market. It supports MPEG-2 HD encoding (along with H.264 SD/HD and MPEG-2 SD). It also supports closed caption pass-through and AC3 audio encoding.
• Does the EN4HDMI module support HDMI inputs with HDCP enabled?
• This module does not support HDMI inputs with HDCP enabled at this time.
• Does the TC4-4M2AXX /TC4-2M2AXX transcoder module support transcoding to MPEG-2 HD?
• The TC4-4M2AXX /TC4-2M2AXX module supports transcoding output formats of H.264 HD/SD and MPEG-2 SD. MPEG-2 HD is not supported as an output format. H.264 HD/SD and MPEG-2 HD/SD are all supported as input formats.
• Does the TC4-4M2AXX /TC4-2M2AXX transcoder module support transcoding closed captions?
• At this time, closed caption transcoding is not supported in the TC4-4M2AXX /TC4-2M2AXX module.
