Product Overview
For Reception of North American SatellitesKU Linear LNBF 11.70 - 12.75 GHz Designed for Prime Focus Satellite Dishes Low noise figure of .6dB and 60dB gain are combined in this +/-1MHz frequency stable, quality LNBF. The GEOSATpro SL1P Prime Focus LNBF offers outstanding performance when teamed with a Prime focus dish. Most LNBFs are designed for mounting on an offset reflector. Offset LNBFs are not optimized for mounting on a prime focus dish and will not provide reliable signal reception in fringe signal areas. The SL1 P will outperform any other KU LNBF currently available resulting in increased Signal Quality and reliability with your prime focus dish. What is the difference between a Prime Focus and an Offset design dish? A prime focus dish has the feed horn centered on reflector and it is usually supported by 3 or 4 legs or a button hook arm attached to the center of the reflector. The Prime focus design is not as efficient as an offset as the feed horn blocks some of the incoming signal and tends to pick-up more terrestrial noise. The offset design dish is more efficient and provides better rejection of undesirable terrestrial noise. This design has the feed horn offset in the lower third of the dish and it is usually supported by a single support arm from the bottom of the dish and might also have side support arms. Note: Standard LNBFs work with all satellite meters and this makes installs easier. Perfect for viewing linear satellites in North America.
